Sorry-2022 crop failure. Not available this year
One of the most unique garlics we offer. Siberian is prized for it's delicate and subtle garlic flavor when cooked and for it's high allicin content, the highest of all garlic varieties. It's from the purple stripe family which has higher sugar content so tends to caramelize nicely when baked or roasted. It's origins are from Europe and is reported in Alaska in the 19th century where it was traded off the docks by fishermen. We prefer to eat Siberian raw for medicinal purposes or make a strong garlic broth when sick.
Moderate storage life, smaller heads (the smallest of our garlics), 4-6 squat cloves in a bulb, between 7-10 heads in pound. Sized and graded as culinary garlic.
